Upcoming Events

February 17, 2015

With the recent release of Images of America: Trimble County and the addition of speaking engagements, I just wanted to let you all know some upcoming dates where I'll either be speaking or signing books.

On Thursday, March 5, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., I'll be selling and signing copies of the Trimble County book at the Trimble County Public Library just off of U.S. 42 South in Bedford, KY. There will be refreshments and I'll also talk a bit about some of the things I learned while putting the book together. I will also have a few copies of Images of America: Carroll County available at this event.

Upcoming DNA Presentations

On Saturday, March 21, I will be giving a presentation on DNA Testing & Genealogy at the Jefferson County Historical Society, 615 W. First St., Madison, IN. That starts at 10 a.m. and will go until about noon.

My DNA presentations provide an overview of the different types of DNA that is tested by the Big Three testing companies – AncestryDNA, FamilyTreeDNA and 23andMe. Different types of testing yield different information, and it depends on the information you are hoping to discover as to which test you should take.

I will be giving an hour-long version of the presentation again on Monday, April 20, at the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, starting at 6:30 p.m.

I've also signed up to attend a Book Fair sponsored by the Bullitt County Genealogical Society at the Ridgeway Memorial Library, which is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Stay tuned here on the website! I have added a new calendar feature where you can check to see where I'll be speaking or selling/signing books throughout the year.
