A new pursuit

January 6, 2015

OK. I guess I'm addicted.

Recently, I purchased via eBay a collection of glass negatives. Fortunately, I have a scanner that can scan them (have to do them by sections, though) and a program that can stitch them together.

These plates are 114 years old. Because they are the original negatives, the images that I've produced for them are pristine. Beautiful, even. I've only scanned a few so far; I'll scan the rest when I return from Salt Lake.

But for now, I'm attaching a couple of the scans for your enjoyment. I haven't had time, yet, to research the people in these photos. I'm hoping I'll get enough information from the jackets they are in to do that.

So, enjoy!
